Chloe Kennedy

Originally from a little town in West Yorkshire, I moved down to the South West some seventeen years ago and I am now settled, working out of my studio, in the Mendips, Somerset.

I have been in and around the events industry for over 25 years. In 2018 life threw me one of it’s curve balls and rather than choosing to drop that ball, I caught it and started my own business. It was a scary time, having worked from the age of thirteen, to now go it alone but Kennedy Weddings & Events was established and the hard work began.

Despite the huge impact that Covid 19, has had on the Hospitality and Events industry, I’m now delighted to see my small family business, go from strength to strength. I have planned and designed countless Editorial Photoshoots, Weddings, Private events including a Royal engagement and I am very excited to be now expanding in to Commercial event design.

When I am not in the studio, I’m immersed in family life we can usually be found walking, or exploring the nearby countryside. I am a, lover of antiquities in particular coloured vintage glass ,so antique shops are a must.  

I take inspiration and creativity from everything I see, so my mind is rarely quiet and is often, overflowing with ideas for my next Wedding, or event. My love and dedication  goes into every even, making it  happy, memorable and unique event for you.

I am based in the Mendips in Somerset and work out of my home studio. Whilst this might be my base, I love to travel and I am more than happy to travel to help make your special day go perfectly

Yes I can help you plan your wedding or event wherever you are but please do bear in mind, there will be additional travel examples, for example flights, accommodation and car rental etc.

This is a great question and I will say for Full wedding planning the average wedding can take between 200 and 250 hours, partial planning a bit less at around 100 and final stages 50-75 hours.

Your planning journey starts with a message! I will follow this with a complimentary consultation session, usually digitally delivered. After our online chat, I will put a proposal together, there will be a deposit required, to secure the day. Payments are usually every 3 months depending on the timescale to your event.

I would describe my style as modern romantic with an elegant timeless feel but essentially I’m led by you. I work with each couple to ensure the overall design of their event reflects their style and personality.

Absolutely, I am covered with Hiscox insurance for public liability and indemnity.

Whilst I have a large range of carefully sourced props and you are welcome to hire them on top of your proposal, I do offer a discount on my hire range when accompanied by a wedding planning investment. You are not obliged to hire from me, it’s important to me that you have the right aesthetic accents on your day, so if I don’t have it, I will source it for you to create just the right look.
